Hastings Castle

Hastings Castle can be seen seconds from walking out the door of The Sea House. Originally built from wood in 1066, then rebuilt from stone in 1070, some people say that on certain nights the castle appears as it did years ago in all its glory. Do you believe the stories??

These ruins, along with the Victorian cliff railway and Smugglers Caves, make Hastings a seaside town that stands out from the rest, and a fantastic day out for family and friends alike.

Smugglers Adventure

On the west hill, you can visit The Smugglers Adventure. Explore acres of caverns, learning of smugglers, bootleggers and gangs of Hastings from the 1800's.

Be warned... there could be a surprise around every corner!
